About this role:

In this role of Recycling Attendant , you will play a key role in providing customer services to community members that drive up to the site to dispose of household and other waste products. You will assist in the coordination of recyclable goods and waste material at the relevant waste facility to ensure objects are either recycled or disposed appropriately and in line with contractual obligations.

Endeavour Foundation is partnered with local Southern downs regional council sites located in Warwick that provides a service to the public and runs the local Reuse shop Facility stocking re-used furniture and second-hand goods. We are seeking a Recycling Attendant that is physically fit and hard working that is committed to part time hours between Mondays to Fridays and every second weekend. In this role you will be assisting members of the public with their load for disposal and ensuring items are placed in safe areas, along with asking customers if any items could be donated to the reuse shop on site.

Duties will include:

  • Comply with Endeavour's Work Health and Safety policies and procedures, including using PPE Steel cap boots and hard hats.
  • Physical abilities to lift heavy furniture items of 15KGs +
  • Customer Service - greeting the public and assisting with their loads to donate or dispose of.
  • Comfortable with physical work, repetitive bending to ground level and moving of furniture or heavy objects.

  • Flexibility to work across any days Mondays to Fridays and every second weekend.
  • Attention to detail sorting and safely stacking items.
  • Superb customer service, communication, and excellent time management.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, but with high levels of respect for others.
  • Willing to obtain a current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), and obtain a 'Fit 2 Work' National Police Check.
